The restaurant’s seasonal operation creates a sense of exclusivity and urgency among patrons. Service quality stands out as a key strength, with attentive and knowledgeable staff enhancing the overall visit. The food receives frequent commendations for its freshness and traditional flavors, particularly dishes like fried mullet. Absolutely amazing the food was so good I love fried mullet we got to sit by the window and alligators were swimming around in the river behind us it was really cool they are not open all year round they're only open for a couple of months. And next weekend is their last day open Friday and Saturday and then they won't be open until next year. It's a 100% need to go place if it's this year or next year. But the food was great and everybody there is very friendly. And thank you to Rachel for being kind and explaining things about the restaurant so I can make a good review. But thank you

Adam was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations that enhanced our meal. He has a great personality and made us feel like valued guests. The food was delicious, but Adam's exceptional service is what will bring us back. Highly recommend asking for Adam when you visit Gators Seafood,

This place is amazing, and nothing short of a great destination for out of towners, who are lucky enough to find it. This is a local favorite, and awesome dining experience, for those looking for true southern seafood, and great southern hospitality. Treat yourself and family to a great experience!

Finally made it to Gators. Been wanting to go there for years. They open at 5pm. I got there at 5:04pm and was greeted with a line of people waiting. I suggest getting there around 4:30ish so you can get a table when they open the door. I stood around maybe 10 mins waiting to get on the list. You can either wait outside and look at the lake or sit inside on a little bench or 2 rocking chairs. I was a party of one and was hoping I could go to a bar and eat but that wasn't the case. I waited a little over and hour for a table. The staff was very nice. The server was prompt and kind. The menu is smaller than expected. They have crackers and bring you out a dip. I ordered the catfish (fried filet pieces since they don't have whole) & fries. The sweet tea was perfect and my glass was never empty. Food came out at a normal time. It was really good and didn't taste fishy or dirty at all. It was about 21 after taxes. I will definitely go again if I don't have to wait a extended period.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Gator’s Seafood Restaurant. The atmosphere is rare and beautiful. It is a true old-Florida restaurant of the kind that used to be fairly common 20 years ago, but has all but vanished in 2025. A warm hardwood building directly on a placid little bayou that indeed is the home of visible alligators. The restaurant is medium-sized, busy with happy diners, and warmly-lit throughout. Large windows overlooking the bayou provide diners with a peaceful and charming view, and give the impression the restaurant exists with nature rather than intrudes on it. I would say this special atmosphere is the highlight of Gator’s, but that would be unfair to the staff. The Farringtons, especially our server Abigail, truly made us feel like family and everyone who worked there wore easy smiles and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we could imagine throughout our stay. And the food delivered what we hoped for - simple fried seafood fare in generous portions. We had fried mullet, crab claws, and the hot fried shrimp that was exactly as advertised. I had the seafood platter and everything was very good. We finished off with a piece of homemade Key Lime Pie (which my daughters loved) and their special homemade Bushwacker Pie. The Bushwacker Pie really did taste just like a frozen Bushwacker drink, and it turns out that it makes an excellent finish to a meal. This restaurant is a gem of the area, and I suspect there are very few places in all of Florida anymore that can deliver a similar experience. Gator’s Seafood Restaurant is a time-capsule to a previous age that will bring warm nostalgia to an older diner, and surprising charm to younger ones.

Drive down a dirt road to the back of the woods to a cozy cabin on the banks of a gator infested lake for some good seafood. We really thought we were lost as we follow the GPS direction. But it was a pleasant surprise. While waiting 30 minutes for our table, we walked to the lake to watch some gators bob up to check us out. There were many and the sound they made were eerie. As we were seated at our table, we could also watch the gators from the large patio windows overlooking the lake. My hubby and I shared a crab claw appetiser, seafood platter and dessert. Never had mullet but it tasted similar to catfish. The coleslaw was the only thing that we didn't like. It was dry and bitter tasting. The backside of the menu tells the story of how the restuarant was founded and that it was family owned and operated by family and friends. We found the prices to be very reasonable. Would highly recommend this place. But go during the summer, as that is the only time they are open.

I had the pleasure of dining at Gators Seafood recently, and I must say, Adam made the experience exceptional. From the moment we walked in, his warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered fantastic recommendations. The service was prompt and attentive, and Adam's genuine enthusiasm for his work truly shone through. The food was delicious, but it was Adam's outstanding service that made our visit unforgettable. Highly recommend asking for Adam when you dine at Gators Seafood.
